Sport Court of Austin was started by Greg Dettman in 1978 to give kids and families a safe, secure place to play and practice sports at home. The courts turned out to be where all their friends want to hang out, so it was a way for parents to know their kids friends. From those beginnings, we became expert builders of tennis courts, bocce courts, sand volleyball courts and batting cage facilities. With our relationship with Sport Court International, we have developed an indoor gym floor that is safer and longer lasting many other court options.

Families that play together stay together” is our motto. We feel we have a unique understanding of parenting, kids, and sports. Our goal is to help kids spend less time in front of a computer or TV screen and more time outside playing with their friends. The sloping terrain of the Austin area has made us experts in dealing with difficult backyard sites that might otherwise not get used.
